Extremism???

Vuvuzelas going crazy, fireworks being blast, and massive traffic jam...is definetly not a good place to be...but i was there...Malaysia vs Indonesia...the first time in 14 years Malaysia is in the final...sold out 90,000 fans was packed in like a Tuna...with 25% of them were Indonesian fans...the atmosphere was really tremoundous...where Malaysia won the game by 3-0...the moment the Referee blew the final whistle...the stadium was like in Volcano Eruption with massive celebration among the fans...this what the fans has been waiting for from the national team for a long time...

In 2007 when Malaysia was the co-host of the Asian Cup along with Vietnam,Indonesia, and Thailand...we where humilated by the top teams...while other co-host like Vietnam, Thailand, and Indonesia was giving a fight to the Asian Giant teams like Japan, China and all...this frustrated many Malaysia fans till some even went to the extend burning the stadium, and vandalizing the public property...this trend continued each time Malaysia lose...that why whenever Malaysia play football there will be tight security with helicopter n police everywhere...a few weeks back i and my friends was talking in my college cafeteria...i was telling them bout the current Malaysian trend...and one them said "bunch of crazy buggers only do all this"...i said to him "dude in Malaysia, football means Pride...if u take look at the history u will know and we pay a large amount of Tax to the Government...so we expect results"...he said "it is extreme man"...i told him "this is the new Revolution in a joking way"...he smiled...

I asked him "in your country what will the fans do..if your country lose"...he said "we wil just get angry scold in few words and then go home...as it is the part of the game where sometime we win and sometime we lose"...i told him "your country is just coming up in football and you guys dont pay any tax..so u guys wont feel the pinch or have the eagerness to win like we do"...he still didnt agree with me till the end...but if we look at results now..Malaysia football team is in the peak..they are coming closer to be crowned South East Asian Champions for the first time in 32 years...having won the SEA Games in 2009...having solid home record...what else you can ask for from a team that was in HAYWIRE 3 years back...ya i know the coach n the players did magnificent job by reaching this far ...but i wil say the backbone of this team is the fans....I wont say Radicalisme is good but at some point it helps the team to get results...i guess it is proven in this scenario...

Road Not Taken

When i was a kid i used to play for NPNG an academy affiliated to Selangor Mk Land a club in the Malaysian League...it is nearly 25km away from my home..my dad used to drive me there...it was great feeling to play for a club at age of juz 14...but at the same time it was hard for me to keep up with my studies...the moment i come back from training academy i wil be EXHAUSTED and have no mood to study....but this was the time i manage to meet many football personality...like Bhaichung Bhutia who played for Selangor Mk Land back in 2005...it was great feeling when senior players like Bhaichung, and Marlon James to pay a visit and train with us lads...that year was really remarkable year in my football life...finishing 2nd in the Milo League...but then my mother told me "you should take a break from football"...coz my result was not too good...and Malaysian National exam (PMR) was coming up...she didnt want me to screw up in my education...so i stopped playing football for a year...after i finish my national exam...i didnt have the eagerness to play football again...maybe i was to lazy..where my life routine was just to eat and watch TV...my weight begin to increase rapidly....where at one point i was weighing at 120kg...but under some motivation i begin to cut my fats...

I can say nearly 80% of my teammates in the academy are now playing in Malaysian League and one of them where in the National Team that took part in the Asian Game...i meet my friend(national player) few weeks back...he asked me "what are you doing now"...i said "i am in University doing Accountacy"..he said "cool"...i ask him "you are not studying anything part time"...he said "wat to study when my SPM itself flop"...he said to me he was paid RM 80,000 for just taking part in the Asian Game...but not only him all the malaysian athlete that took part...he said the club salary is around RM 5,000...i was speechless..coz a guy same age with me earning double wat i am going to earn after i be a graduate...Infact i have a friend...she represented her country in volleyball...i asked her "why did u stop playing"...she said "my mother wanted me to focus to on studies"....

If we take a look..many of us we might have the talent in something just we are not motivated in making use of it...i m not trying to say i deserve to be in the national team...but wat i am trying to say is there are many people out there which have talent but feel insecured to focus on it...coz it might effect their studies and etc...as we know in Asia your age is limited in sports industry...the moment u get injured u can just hang up your boots and go home...for instant if u hav education you might survive as you can find job..but if you dont have any education...what are you going to do to live??? This cases are largely found in Asia expect China(in china the government provide everything for the athletes)..in Europe if you are Athlete..then your work is just to play..if you are swimmer than your work is just to swim..ofcourse they go to school but their primary preference is always sport because they are paid for it since young...

For an instant Lionel Messi is he a degree holder..no..he started playing age of 3...n he entered Barcelona academy age of 13...now he is the best player in the World..same goes to Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and etc..Messi was sponsored a treatement by Barca due to his growth problem when he was a kid...wat i see is in Europe the Athlete are really taken care from young...that why we can see the European countries always perform better than Asians in sports...i do believe if you want create good Athlete than you should start from the GRASS ROOT...in that case people will be more motivated to perform...Asia is largest continent in the Earth but there is still no any nation from Asia that has lift the World Cup in the entire History of the Competition...

Indian Flair

We might not know how many gold medals did India win in the Asian Games, or their current economic status...but there is no way we might not know about their film industry...as we all know India has remarkable reputation across the glob for its tremoundous movies...few days backs i meet an Iranian friend...the moment after i introduce myself to him...first thing he ask me "do you watch indian movie"..i said "yeah but not many"...so i asked him "are you are crazy about indian movies ah"...he said "yeah..even my mother and sister watch it back in Iran"...i was suprised n at the same time i was proud because a country like Iran who has its own culture and tradition background airing an Indian movie in their country...i even do have my Maldivian, Sri Lankan, Kazakstan, and even Arabic friends who are crazy about Indian movies....tis proves that the Indian movies are not juz watched from the Himalaya to Rameshwaram (North to South of India).....

Today i was talking to my friend...she juz went on a trip to Astro (a Malaysian based TV station) few days back...so i asked her "how was the Astro trip"....she said " nice..it was cool...i saw many DJ's"...then she asked me "do you listen to local Djs n all"...i said "no..Local Indian dancers they suck no matter how hard they try they cant beat the India Indians in dancing or singing...i juz feel like i want to laught when i compare the India Indians and the locals dance"...she asked me "why"...i said "we(locals) might beat them in sports but there is no way we can beat India in film industry coz their in their own league where we cant even dream off...where a kid age of 3 can dance and sing better"...she replied "ya..i know that"...i said to her "the moment after you watch an indian movie there is no way you want to watch or listen to any other especially the local channels...she said "even i do like Indian Movies...especially their songs"...i sincerly will not be suprise if Indian movie surpass the Holloywood in the future...in a way i am really amazed n proud that Indian film industry has worldwide recongnition across the glob...

Hidden Agenda???

I was sitting with bunch of my friend who comes from same the nation and i was the only outsider among them...so we where talking n talking...n suddenly from no where...one of the guy said "you know alot bout our country"...i said "ya i see it in the news and read the papers and i wanna keep up to date with latest issue to explore my knowledge"...he said "dont LIE..i know you learn alot bout our country so you can impress our country girls" in a kidding TONE..so i said "no...i know most of the Nation...even i know who is the PRESIDENT of Venezuela...so does it mean i also want impress Venezuelian Girls"..the reason why i said Venezuela is because there no any Venuzuelian girls in Malaysian where u can easily see...and  i said to him "doesnt mean if u LEARN alot bout foreign nation or their CULTURE..you wanna impress the girls"..i really dont understand why do some people think whenever a guy learn something NEW it always has to b to impress the GIRLS...i know there is a verb "in a guys success there is girl" but it doesnt apply in every circumstances...i dunno the reason why i am keen on learning many culture...may b it is in my DNA... that attracts me to explore new things...but 1 thing i am sure it has given me many plus point....for instant it has help me to mingle around with many people from many different places...For an instant i hav very close Maldivian friend...eventhough we are in different course we still tend to hang out together whenever possible as long it doesnt clash with our class time...whenever his class finishes..he gives me a call n ask "where are you??? Are you Free...Lets hav Lunch man"....one the reason why we are close is i know his culture n he knows mine...i know what he can do and what not...for an instant he never even ask me to eat BEEF and i never ask him to eat PORK....
When i was in my Foundation first semester last year i had this group of Irani friends...they are funny n jovial people...i still remember they always wont call me by my name PRAVEEN...they call me in a way like where it sounds PEAVIN...not even one them can call my name in proper...at first i taught they where kidding around and i didnt like it as well the way they pronoun my name...as whenever they say my name my other friends in class wil Laught...but later on...i notice it is their way of pronouncing my name in their accent....the reason why i am telling all this doesnt mean if u know alot bout a country culture or history u want impress the GIRLS...

Victimised...

A few days back i and my friends was having coffee chat in a restaurat...the issue was about a foreign couples being mocked by the resort workers...The foreign couples was renewing their marriage vow but end up being insulted in bad words by the workers...the couple was thinking they where being blessed by the workers since it was part of the "VOW"...but in reality they were being insulted by the hotel workers in the local language...one of thing said by the worker was "you are SWINE and the children that you will bear from this marriage will be Bastard Swine"....the couple had no idea what where the hotel workers actually saying till the video of the act was released in the internet few weeks later...the news was top hit in many news channel...even it was telecast in CNN...n many people was "PISSED" with the workers...even my friends who come from the country which this incident took place...they was very ANGRY with their fellow countrymens for their act...i swear none of them said it was funny and laught...all of them was very serious in this matter...one of my friend who comes from the country which this incident took place told me that the President of the Nation offered an applogy to the foreign couple and offered the foreign couples a luxury SUITE to live whenever the couple visits the country....for FREE...and the same time the workers was sacked by employer...they where even arrested and currently facing a jail term....
my point here who is the Victim in this case...coz some of my friend was saying the Couples are the victim here...but i do feel personally the victim here is the Workers...i know what has been said by the workers is not cool but facing a jail term for that....that is HARSH....even their face shows their not criminal but juz a group young boys trying have fun by kidding around....for sure after this there wil be no any employer wil employ them...it wil b really hard for them to continue living in the nation itself...since their fellow CAMPATRIOTS see them as disgrace for the nation...ya i agree what happen to couple is something hard to forget...but it has passed...you cant change what has happen...but this guys life are ruined....for GOD sake they are juz bunch of young boys trying to have fun time..that all..even if the workers perform the VOW by the right way...do you think couples going to understand...hmm...i m not trying to say...what done by the workers are right...but by publishing the video in internet the life of workers ruined...compared to the couples...the couples might say it is a day they want to forget...but what bout the workers...who will need to bear with the consequences till rest of their life...

Flow of Language along the Oceans

A few weeks back when i was helping my friend to move out from his appartment...i accidentally said to him "when do u wanna move out the ALMARI". Alamari means Cupboard in Malay....i smiled n said sorry to him coz he is not a malaysian it was dumb of me to use that word to him...but you guys cant blame me as well...coz in that tense of work u cant think what are you saying...i mean work PRESSURE...but he smiled n said dude you are getting better in Speaking Dhivehi. Dhivehi is a national language of the Republic of Maldives...so i told him...i didnt say any dhivehi word...he told "you juz did man"....i asked him back "when did i"....he said "Almari is dhivehi word man, it mean cupboard"...i told him it is not dhivehi man..it is MALAY...he smiled to me sarcastically n said ya rite...i wont blame him coz i m playful guy in any matter so it is hard for someone to believe me...To be sincere even i taught he was JOKING as well but after confronting few of my other Maldivian friends...i found it is true....n i found there are more than one simalirities between the both language...if you guys know
1) hadiah - GIFT
2)jambu - i dunno its name in English but it is a green fruit which is hard to bite...
3)mani - SPERM
all of these words have the same meaning in both language...i wont juz say the simalirity between the both language is juz this 3 words....there might be more but i only this 3 i know...i know simalirity between Spanish and Malay is common coz of the Malaysian History..for an instant Cupboard in Spanish is "ARMARIO"...from my point of view why theese are common because Malaysia was first ruled by the Portuguese which 70% of its language similar to Spanish....i wont juz say malay and dhivehi has simalirities...there might be different language as well....so the point here is...what language are theese words actually...for an example ALMARI...is it a MALAY...is it DHIVEHI....or is it a SPANISH....or is it some other Language...

Kids ars STARVING...

There are 5 million kids dieing every year due to STARVATION....i juz feel PATHETIC of this scenario when there are many of us here are not even APPERECIATING food...we juz take it for GRANTED...i exprienced this scenario few days back when my friends and i went to the Hawker Stall in Old Klang Road....there was a small boy aged betwen 8-10 was "begging" table to table...i was not sure what was he begging in the other tables but the moment he came to our table...the boy said "i want to eat...i have not eaten for the whole day can u buy me a bowl of Chicken Rice"....i was seriously SHOCKED...a kid which should staying home n spending time with his books is "begging for FOOD"...n on the Hawker Stall itself i notice there where so many left over foods....which was going to the drain...WHO should b BLAME here...the government, Parents of the kids, or to the PUBLIC itself...there are so many question mark arising here...how can this DILEMMA be PREVENTED....
